WHAT IS THE USHL?
Headquartered in Chicago, IL, and founded in 1979, the USHL is celebrating its 18th season as the nation's only Tier 1 junior hockey league. Its players range from 16–20 years of age, and they are recruited from over 35 states and 9 countries to fill the rosters on 17 teams nationwide. A record 57 USHL players were chosen in the 2018 NHL Draft, and more than 400 USHL players on last season’s team rosters have committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the league as the world's foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
JUNIOR CLUB WORLD CUP
The Steel represented the USHL and the United States in the 2015 Junior Club World Cup in Yekaterinburg, Russia, capturing the bronze medal while defeating host Russia twice during the five-game, eight-day tournament.
